About Andrea

Originally from south west Scotland, I have always had a passion for music and started learning the violin when I was eight years old. I studied music at Edinburgh Napier University where I graduated with a 2:1 in July 2020, with Angus Ramsay as my teacher. It was during my third year at University where my passion for teaching violin and music theory really developed, having undertaken modules in instrumental teaching where I had the opportunity to assist in violin lessons in school settings. I am currently studying for a master’s degree in music therapy at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.

In addition, I have many years experience in performing in orchestras such as Glasgow Philharmonia and solo performances.
